Firefox 3.0 este pe vine, dar pana la versiune finala (Release Candidate) s-a mai lansat inca o beta (beta 3) a Firefox 3.0 .

- grafica - preia automat caracteristicile sistemului de operare
- administrarea simpla a add-onurilor, extensiilor, temelor si plugin-urilor - permite cautarea si instalarea acestora fara a mai fi nevoie de deschiderea paginii web in browser.

- un nou tip de booksmark (Smart Bookmarks) integrat in toolbar . (cuprinde cele mai vizitate bookmarkuri, cele mai recente si tags)
- imbunatatirea tab-urilor. In noua versiune este permisa mutarea ferestrelor.
- imbunatatit algoritmul de autocompletion de URL
